HI team I'm Chris, I am 37 years old, a qualified Lv 4 panel beater and have spent the last 13 years in the renewable energy sector building and servicing wind turbines. I have two awesome children and an amazing wife. So our story starts before selling our house and moving our family from New Zealand (yes I'm a kiwi ha ha) to Australia In early 2024 I wanted to continue working as a wind turbine technician but not knowing if it would "pan out" I saw the laser cleaning industry as a "possible option" and saying "that looks like something I'd be interested in; I like making things clean and shiny", "if I can't continue my career in the wind industry ill look into it". Due to where our family wanted to be situated in Australia and the location of most of the wind farms it became the latter option. So here we are going all in together with my brother in-law Brook starting and running the best laser cleaning business we can. Brought up with a strong work ethic and attention to detail I aim to do the best I can in every job I do. Honesty, respect and my word are important core values that are ingrained in me and as a business owner/operator the reputation of my name, brand and business are of the upmost importance to me. I am really looking forward to this exciting new chapter of my life, the possibilities that life holds for the future and the journey this business venture will bring. Hi everyone, my name's Brook I am also a Kiwi and have been living in Brisbane Australia for the past two years after selling our house in New Zealand and making the jump. I have a wonderful wife, lovely home and two beautiful children. In my spare time we are often out doing activities together as a family, going to theme parks and taking day trips to explore new parts of Queensland. There is always something to do and new things to try, to be honest there is rarely a weekend we don't sit still. When it comes to hobbies, I am a massive sports fan, I follow rugby union and rugby league I am also a huge All BLACKS fan. I am always keen to get out, support and watch a live game of footy. As for my career It started In the RNZAF (Royal New Zealand Air Force) as a fuel technician and driver which requires you to have a substantial knowledge base and qualifications regarding different types of fuels, the dangers associated with them and the rigorous safety measures that have to be followed. Working with the Airforce has taken me to some amazing places during my service, and I have been fortunate enough to be part of a number of major operations over the years. As I progressed, I acquired and still retain many certificates ranging from DG licenses, class 5 license, fire training and first aid.
Since leaving the air-force and moving to Australia I have continued working in fuel industry but in a different capacity, driving large fuel tankers and delivering fuel all over SEQ. But that changed when my brother and sister in-law moved to Australia and approached me regarding a new business venture starting a laser cleaning business and if I would be interested in coming on board, I jumped boots and all at the opportunity to step out of my comfort zone and try something completely different, so we set about getting the relevant laser qualifications and training required to offer the best service we can with safety being a top priority. I am excited to see where this new journey takes me and look forward to all the successes and challenges along the way.
